The concert opens with the dazzling Polonaise from Eugene Onegin, filled with the grandeur and celebration of a Russian ballroom. Joseph Haydn’s charming Sinfonia Concertante follows, featuring virtuosic performances from the orchestra’s featured soloists. The program concludes with Antonín Dvořák’s beloved Symphony No. 9, “From the New World”, a work inspired by the composer’s own experiences in the early United States.
