Maureen Hein, Principal
Maureen Hein received her degree in Music Therapy from Florida State University, where she studied with Charles Delaney. While attending Florida State, she was also a member of the All-American College Orchestra at Walt Disney World, where she performed with Rosemary Clooney. Maureen teaches piano and works as a freelance flutist. She also acts as the liason between Georgia Philharmonic and Northside Hospital.

Kathy Farmer

Kathy Farmer, Georgia Philharmonic piccoloist, is also the principal flutist of the Dekalb Symphony. She teaches flute at Georgia Perimeter College, Greater Atlanta Christian School and maintains a home flute studio. She conducts two adult flute choirs, the Flute Choir of Atlanta and the Atlanta Flute Ensemble. In addition she is a member of Perimeter Flutes, Papageno Flute Quartet, and Vox Flutes. Mrs. Farmer is a past President of the Atlanta Flute Club and the Flute Fair Coordinator. She is Convention Flute Orchestra Coordinator for the National Flute Association and a member of the NFA Professional Flute Choir.

Lisa Mahoney

Lisa Mahoney is the flute instructor at Reinhardt College. She performs flute and piccolo with the Dekalb Symphony and with Papageno Flute Quartet, Flute Choir of Atlanta and the Atlanta Flute Ensemble. Ms. Mahoney received undergraduate degrees in Flute Performance and Music Education from Ball State University and a Masters of Music in flute performance and literature from the University of Notre Dame and further studied at DePaul University.
